Who am I and why should you listen to me…?!
Hello lovely. My name is Ali.
I am a mother of three young children, a yoga practitioner and a pre & postnatal yoga teacher of over a decade.
I have created this course for pregnancy so that you can deepen your connection to your experience, connect with your baby and adapt your self care at this special time.
The practices of Yoga helped me feel more grounded and calm during all three of my pregnancies. I birthed my babies with a sense of calm and deep trust in my body, mind and spirit.
Yoga connects us - to ourselves, each other and to the infinite wonder of this world.
As women, birthing and nurturing children and families, it is so important to connect with our intuition, nurture our inner landscape and consciously create our lives.
Practising yoga during pregnancy is a profound experience that extends beyond the individual, influencing your family and community.
Yoga has the power to transform lives.
Yoga during pregnancy is not just about preparing for childbirth; it's a holistic practice that nurtures both the mother and her family, creating lasting transformations in their lives.
Namaste, from my heart to yours, I welcome and honour you in your practice.

I recommend you talk to your care provider (midwife, gp, obgyn etc.) before you begin, particularly if you have a history of miscarriage or complications. They may recommend to avoid certain postures or to wait until your 2nd trimester to begin a physical practice.
Once you have the okay, you can begin at any stage of pregnancy.
Some key considerations: 1st trimester you will most likely feel fatigued, nauseous and uncertain with all the changes happening at this time - this is the time to be gentle and kind to yourself, practice restorative yoga, yoga nidra, visualisation and meditation. Less is best at this time on your journey.

Prenatal yoga can help to ease common discomforts during pregnancy, enhance flexibility, improve breathing techniques and promote relaxation. It can also help you prepare you physically and emotionally for labour and birth while cultivating a deeper connection to your self and your baby.

The classes range from 21 to 55 minutes in length.
I recommend you practise at least twice a week but it’s really up to you. Once you have tried a class you may find you practise elements of it every day, (5 breaths in child’s pose for example) depending on the benefits you feel or how you are feeling. The beauty of yoga is you can practise practically anywhere! Sitting in a waiting room is the perfect place to practise your visualisation or breathing technique.

You will need a yoga mat for comfort and stability.
Extra props like yoga blocks, blankets, cushions or yoga bolsters are helpful but not essential. You can substitute couch cushions or books for these things.

Yes! All the resources are downloadable and available for lifetime access, (or as long as the platform exists).
